As the proverb goes "You are never too old to learn", this statement is applicable to many things in life and
learning the guitar is no exception. If you had always wanted to learn the guitar but don't know where to start,
you are at the right place.
Adult guitar lessons are easily available from the Internet and most courses are appropriate for all ages. Even
if you wish to take up guitar relatively late in life, they are courses that can be tailor made to your needs.
I had always received questions via email by more mature students that they wish to take up guitar as a hobby
and might not be able to commit entirely to guitar classes. Here's my same reply to each of these questions: Go for
online guitar lessons.
The reason why I suggest taking guitar lessons online is that students can learn at their own pace without
feeling the need to achieve something by a particular date or lesson.
Aside from updating this website, I also hold a full time job and I can emphathize with older students who have
other commitments and pressures in life. Learning guitar online
means that practice and accessing the lessons can be done late at night or early hours of the day (Just be
considerate not to wake those around you! You can easily get silent guitars or use an electric guitar to practice
with headphones).
The physical attributes required to play the guitar general diminishes as people grow older. Generally, adults
learn a new skill at a slightly slower pace as compared to children. Though this is an issue with adult guitar
lessons, a good guitar course that allows you to review and highlight past lessons would help greatly.
Adult guitar lessons are open and easily available to everybody, regardless of age. Athough the option of
learning guitar with a physical guitar teacher is an option for those who learn better with a live person, I would
still suggest learning online as it provides great flexibility and huge savings as compared to private lessons.
