Points to take note of when learning to play Bring Back the Bomb

1 - The tuning used for this song is in D#. Be sure that you have your guitar tuned properly to the correct notes before starting out on this lesson. Here's a tip, you will realise that most heavy metal songs are played in weird tunings. Why? The reason behind this is for the tone of the lower notes as well as easier fingerings for speed playing.

2 - Pay special attention to the use of note emphasis during palm muting. Usually, the first note of the bar is hit with more force to create dynamics in the playing. Without these subtle dynamics, the tonality and feel for the song would be totally different.

3 - Practice with a metronome. Notice how the lesson always emphasizes on playing SLOW? If you can't play the riffs and licks in proper time when the tempo is slow, chances are, what you play at regular speed will sound mashed up and messy.

4 - Admittedly, this is not the easiest song to learn on guitar. There are tons of advanced guitar techniques that had been incorporated into this song. On top of that, you will need to have your alternate picking techniques as well as right hand synchronization skills at it's peak to be able to pull this song off.

Have fun!
