Overview of Good Online Guitar Courses

With the internet as such a big part of our lives, learning guitar is easier now than it ever has been before.

No longer do you need to wade through the store looking for VHS tapes that may or may not be good; no longer do you have to sift through hundreds of CD’s trying to find one that has promise; no longer is it necessary to waste gas driving all around town scoping out the music shops to find the right guitar teacher.

With the internet and the new age of online guitar lessons, learning guitar from home with a fully designed course has been made fully possible.

You won’t even have to get your car keys or worry about making it home in time for dinner, because everything will be right inside of your house.

And in this article, we will discuss the best of the best; online guitar courses.

Just like any other thing, there has to be a number one, right? I mean, if there was no number one, how would be determine what the qualities of the other courses are and what to pit them against to show their standing?

We wouldn’t be able to.

And that is why we will give a number one pick for online guitar courses; Jamplay.

Jamplay is one of our favorite online guitar courses due to its ease of use and accessibility. Jamplay takes all of the great features offered with the internet, combines them with great lesson planning and easy to use interfaces, great quality lessons, and tons of extra goodies. Jamplay is the gold standard for online guitar lessons, setting the bar high enough to hang a flag from.

However, Jamplay isn’t so far ahead as you would think. In fact, our second favorite online guitar close is only a step or to behind. And that’s our opinion; this program may be the bee’s knees for you: Guitar Tricks. Guitar Tricks offers most of the same things that Jamplay does, and while it does have many more instructors, that is one of its few downfalls; there are a bit more instructors than we personally like.

This doesn’t make much of a difference in most ways, but it does mean that you will be frequently experiencing different teaching styles due to the fact that many of the instructors cover some of the same genres and techniques. Again, this could be perfect for you, and only you know yourself, so don’t let us make up your mind for you before you’ve even given both sites a fair look over.

Coming in third (and nowhere near last, seeing as there are dozens more sites out there that we won’t even cover) is Jamorama. Jamorama doesn’t fall far behind Jamplay or Guitar Tricks. The only reason it got third instead of second or first is because Jamorama doesn’t have as much material as our two pack leaders.

Again, make your decision based on your personal preferences after doing your own research. Have fun, and good luck learning the guitar!
