Slide Guitar - Bottleneck Guitar Playing

Slide guitar is great fun and gives a bluesy sound from your guitar. This guitar technique is employed with the help of guitar accessories such as glass or steel slides.

In this guest author lesson, Matt Hammond will be covering an interesting lesson on slide guitar ( bottleneck guitar ) techniques. You will probably need to get yourself one of those "slides" from a guitar store or use a glass bottle's neck as a temporary solution.

The first lesson teaches basic slide guitar for the acoustic guitar. This lesson shows the main areas on the fretboard where you can take the slide. Some simple slide licks are also introduced here.

The second lesson teaches basic slide guitar for the acoustic guitar with a different tuning to the first lesson.
